Head Coach | Basketball, Volleyball, Field Hockey, Football, Soccer, Baseball, Lacrosse, and more!
(Part-time, weekdays/weeknights/weekends)

 Job Description:

Under the guidance and direction of the Executive Director, the Head Coach will lead and supervise all participants assigned to them each session to ensure that a quality and safe program is offered. They will foster an environment through age-appropriate activities that will allow children to develop skills, friendships, and character. As Head Coach, you will help lead program development, curriculum, and support resources, prior to program start. You will also provide feedback to management for budgetary needs and other resources needed to ensure high program quality. Please specify on your application which sports you are open to coaching and learning.

Essential Job Functions:

Day and Evening Front Desk Staff
(Part-time, weekdays/weeknights/weekends) 

Job Description:

Front Desk Staff Members are responsible for welcoming all Factory Sports guests and providing an inviting, fun and healthy experience for all facility members and visitors. This position requires paramount customer service skills. This person must remain organized throughout the registration process (including the collection and recording of payments) for all activities and memberships. Front Desk Staff will also be responsible for following the correct protocols for proper opening and closing of the sports complex on a daily and/or nightly basis. Pay rate is commensurate with experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Opens or Closes the building and Front desk
  • Serves in a support role for management, coaching, and training staff on a daily basis.
  • Seeks guest feedback and makes recommendations to improve visitor experience
  • Promotes Factory Sports programming and provides related information to existing and potential customers
  • Listens to members’ needs and inquiries to determine appropriate service actions
  • Responds to various inquiries by guests in the facility and over the phone
  • Processes payments for internal programming registrations, memberships dues, and daily fees.
  • Maintains member and facility usage statistics for evening programs
  • Remains calm during member/participant interactions involving urgent or stressful matters
  • Follows all cash handling policies and procedures.
  • Checks member identification and account profile and signs in all guests
  • Schedules facility usage for members and guests
  • Completes office administrative tasks such as copying, mailing, filing
  • Communicates with members concerning facility changes, large events, promotions
  • Provides recommendations to improve process and procedures of all related tasks
  • Prepares necessary equipment and paperwork work for next day staff.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Factory Party Captain
(part-time, weekdays, weekends)

Job Description:

The Party Captain is responsible for planning and running individual parties offered at The Factory. Parties at The Factory can include many different experiences, including kickball, dodgeball, wiffle ball, indoor soccer, speed & agility activities, floor hockey, and corporate team building. The Party Captain must be able to lead guests through these events in an engaging manner. Parties are typically organized with 45 minutes of activity followed by at 30-minute break for refreshments and 45 minutes of activities to end to party. Guests arrive 30 minutes prior to party start to set up and have been instructed to clean up within 10 minutes of the party’s end. Pay rate is commensurate with experience.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Create a positive and welcoming environment for parents and children
  • Plan & follow details/script of the party agenda as indicated on party contract.
  • Ensure the party contact settles any remaining portion of their bill. This will be found on the party contract.
  • Ensure that the party areas are clean and prepared in a timely manner before, and after a birthday party. Arrive 30 minutes prior: turn on lights, make sure bathrooms are swept, make sure tables and chairs are set up. Clean up: sweep, wipe down tables & chairs, empty trash, and make sure tables and chairs are set up.
  • Maintain and monitor a safe and healthy environment for children to play
  • Lead and participate in group activities and games
  • Have strong work ethic and customer service principals.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Before / After School Program Lead
(part-time, weekday mornings and afternoons)

Job Description:

The Before / After School Program Leader will be responsible for all aspects of The Factory Before / After School Program or what we call the “Student Athlete Club”. This program leader will ensure students arrive in the mornings, on-time, for bus transportation to their assigned schools. In the afternoon’s, the program leader will be responsible for picking up and transporting program kids safely from school to the Factory Sports Complex. While under your supervision, the Program Leader will plan/organize weekday afternoon’s activities with the kids that include group sports, fitness activities, homework help, and snack time. This Program Leader will work closely with the management team to ensure program execution sucess and that all needs of the program are met. Work hours will range from 20-25 hours per week. Pay rate is commensurate with experience.

REQUIREMENTS FOR ALL POSITIONS

Basic Qualifications:

  • Must be 18 years of age or older (administrative and lead positions)
  • Must be 14 years of age or older (assistant coaching positions)
  • Ability to read, speak and understand the English language
  • Dependable transportation to and from work
  • Previous experience in recreation, child care, or education
  • A positive and friendly attitude towards guests, customers, and fellow employees
  • Experience communicating with people of diverse demographics
  • Must be extremely detailed with outstanding communication skills
  • Capability to multi-task and work with large and small groups
  • Integrity to safeguard confidential information
  • Demeanor to remain calm in tense or stressful situations
  • Initiative to work efficiently with minimal supervision

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CPR/First Aid Certified

Preferred Qualifications (Administrative Positions)

  • Strong PC or Mac skills

Working Conditions:

  • Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Physical requirements include walking, standing, bending, running, reaching, jumping, squatting and lifting
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds
